This cult film was written
by film critic Roger Ebert, believe it or not, as a parody of Jacqueline Susann's
Valley of the Dolls book and movie. A girl band heads to Hollywood to make
it big, and they find themselves in the ultimate world of sex, drugs and rock
and roll. Het sex and female nudity dominate the movie. Writhing bodies
regularly fill the screen. Groovy man. Lots of period rock music as well. Roxanne
(Erica Gavin, Caged Heat) goes with Casey
(Cynthia Myers) when she has an abortion, and the two bond. Shortly afterward,
they give us the film's one lesbian sex scene. This is closely followed by their
violent deaths. Roxanne in particular, performs fellatio on a gun before her head
is blown off by Z-Man (John Lazar), a pre-op MTF transsexual who goes on a killing
spree.
